Abstract

Today's market is a huge area of battle for survival and prestige. When printing industry products are concerned, competition is increasing each day, same as customers' demands. One of the most important criteria in printing process is quality. In order to achieve greater quality of printing, various quality management systems are developed and some of them are internationally standardized. This paper focuses on the usage of “Six Sigma ” technique in offset printing which is used in almost a half of all printing today. “Six Sigma ” improves management according to the principle better – faster – cheaper. Two methods are used by the program, DMAIC i DMADV, and this paper focuses on the first of the two. By using this method one aims to shorten the duration of printing process, avert potential malfunctions and, finally, to save money.
