Abstract

Diplomski rad bavi se temom važnosti dječjih knjiga kroz djetinjstvo. Pregledom literature objašnjavaju se najvažniji elementi koji čine temeljnu funkciju dječje knjige, poput igre, zabave i učenja. Jednako tako, dijete se od najranijih dana počinje pripremati za odrastao i vanjski svijet, a slikovnica ili dječja knjiga najbolji su način da se kroz zabavu i opuštenost uvede u nešto novo i njima strano. Ovaj rad se bavi sa važnošću dobrog dizajna i sa konkretnim stavkama o kojima treba voditi računa pri kreiranju dječje knjige. To su važni dijelovi dizajna poput tipografije, boje, rasporeda elemenata unutar knjige i ostalih. Prisutnost ilustracija u dječjim knjigama te njihova važnost iz perspektive dječjeg kognitivnog razvoja ali i percipiranja i doživljaja priče kroz crteže, dio su ovog rada. Također, navodi se i funkcija i potreba dječjih igara u dječjoj svakodnevici pa i u svakodnevici odraslih osoba.

Praktični dio ovog diplomskog rada sačinjava i kompletan dizajn i izradu dječje knjige; osmišljavanja priče, stvaranje ilustracija, raspored elemenata unutar knjige, odabir tipografije i proces grafičkog dizajna. Istraživački dio odnosi se na interaktivni dio knjige sa vrtićkom djecom predškolske dobi. Pred njih je stavljen praktični zadatak kojeg su djeca trebala izvršiti, a rezultati su popraćeni adekvatnom literaturom.

Abstract (english)

This diploma thesis deals with the theme of children's book importance throughout infancy and childhood. With the literature review explained are the most important elements that make the basic function of children's books, such as games, entertainment and learning. Equally so, a child from the earliest days begin to prepare for growing up and for the outside world, so that's why a picture book or children's books are the best way to get into something new and strange for them through the fun and relaxation. This work deals with the importance of good design and the specific items that should be taken care of when designing children's books. These are important components of design such as typography, color, arrangement of elements within the book and others. The presence of illustrations in children's books, their importance from the perspective of children's cognitive development and also the perceiption and experience the story brings through drawings are all part of this work. Also, there are parts in this work that are dealing with the functions and needs of children's games in children's everyday life and in everyday life of adults.

The practical part of this thesis constitutes a complete design and development of children's books, developing the story, creating illustrations, the layout of elements within the book, the choice of typography and graphic design process. The research part is related to the interactive part of the book with the kindergarten children of preschool age. In front of them was placed a practical task that children are supposed to perform, and the results are accompanied by adequate literature.
