Abstract

Cinemagraph, kao jedan od načina vizualnog izražavanja, podrazumijeva „statičnu“

fotografiju koja u sebi sadržava mali pokret koji se neprestano ponavlja, formirajući video

isječak. U ovom diplomskom radu naglasak će biti na vizualnom doživljaju, a kao

primarno sredstvo komunikacije koristit će se pokretna fotografija. Pokret na samoj

fotografiji bit će izrađen digitalnom ilustracijom, tvoreći kompoziciju u kojoj se spaja

„stvarnost“ i „imaginacija“. Ilustracija dodana fotografiji biti će vrlo suptilna, sa ciljem

prenošenja određene emocije. Svaki će cinemagraph, kao gotovi video isječak, biti

prezentiran u GIF formatu, pobuđujući u gledaocu iluziju da se zapravo radi o animaciji.

Svaka fotografija biti će snimljena isključivo za ovaj diplomski rad, te naknadno digitalno

obrađena u Adobe programima. Naime, pošto se pokret postiže ilustracijom, cijeli proces

izrade biti će ponešto drugačiji od procesa izrade klasičnog cinemagrapha, iz razloga što

fotografija u ovom slučaju ostaje „nepomična“ te služi samo kao podloga. Cilj samog

rada je da se istraže mogućnosti kreativne kombinacije fotografije i ilustracije u jednom

djelu, usporedba sa "klasičnim" cinemagraphom te praćenje reakcija i ispitivanje

mišljenja ciljane publike o ovom načinu vizualnog izražavanja.

Abstract (english)

Cinemagraph, as one of the modes of visual expression, implies "static" photography,

which contains a small movement that is constantly repeated, forming a video clip. In this

graduate thesis, emphasis will be on visual impact, and living photography will primarily

be used as a means of communication. Movement on the photograph itself will be created

with digital illustrations, creating a composition combining "reality" and "imagination".

The illustration added to the photo will be very subtle, with the aim of transmitting certain

emotions. Each cinemagraph, as a final video clip, will be presented in GIF format,

stirring up in the viewer's illusion that it is actually an animation. Each photograph will

be taken exclusively for this graduate thesis and later digitally processed in Adobe

programs. Since the movement is made with the illustration, the whole process of

production will be significantly different from the process of making a classic

cinemagraph, which is why the photograph in this case remains "stationary" and serves

only as a substrate. The goal of the paper is to explore the possibilities of creative

combinations of photographs and illustrations in one piece, comparison with "classic"

cinemagraphs, observing reactions and exploring the opinion of the targeted audience on

this mode of visual expression.
