Abstract

Fotomanipulacija je širok pojam i kao takva nema jednu definiciju. Možemo reći da je to nova digitalna umjetnost u kojoj se mijenja originalna fotografija. Izrezivanjem i spajanjem elemenata dobiva se proizvod koji nekada nije moguće ostvariti isključivo putem fotografije. Danas je fotomanipulacija zastupljena u svim medijima. U teorijskom dijelu diplomskog rada definira se što je to fotomanipulacija i kako se ona razvijala kroz povijest. Navest ćemo vrste digitalnih manipulacije i glavne razlike između svake. Gdje se ona najčešće koristi, te ćemo navest neke od glavnih majstora digitalne manipulacije danas. Kod praktičnog dijela prikazat ćemo modni editorijal od deset fotografija kroz koji se provlači tema iskorištavanja životinja u prehrambenoj, modnoj i kozmetičkoj industriji. Objasnit ćemo ideju, metodologiju i samu izradu fotomanipulacija. Sve manipulacije rađene su u programu Adobe Photoshop, pošto on ima sve alate koji su nama potrebni. Nakon što smo izradili autorske fotomanipulacije, provest ćemo istraživanje kako bismo saznali kakav je stav promatrača o fotomanipulacijama.

Abstract (english)

Photo manipulation is a wide term and as such it does not have only one definition. We can say that it is a new form of digital art in which the original photograph changes. By cropping and connecting different elements we get a product that cannot be achieved by just capturing a photograph. Today, photo manipulation is present in all media. In the theoretical part of this thesis we define the meaning of photo manipulation and its development through history. We are going to state different versions of digital manipulation and the main differences between each of them, where it is usually used and also some of the main artists in digital manipulation today. In the practical part we are going to show a fashion editorial consisting of ten photographs with the theme of animal abuse in the food, fashion and the cosmetics industry. We are also going to explain the idea, methodology and the sole process of creating a photo manipulation. All of the photo manipulations are created in Adobe Photoshop, since it has all the tools needed for this process. After the creation of the photo manipulations, we are going to convey a survey to find out the attitude towards the mentioned from the observer’s point of view.
