Abstract

Suvremeni turizam je kulturno, društveno i materijalno izgraĎen kroz fotografije. Turizam je društveni običaj koji je oblikovan fotografskom kulturom kamere i slike, a fotografija je presudna u izgradnji turističke vizualne prirode razgledavanja i posmatranja. U diplomskom radu opisana je kratka kronologija razvoja turizma od početaka do razvoja današnjeg masovnog turizma u svijetu i u Hrvatskoj. Neki sociolozi smatraju da je turizam u Engleskoj drastično porastao u isto vrijeme kad su se pojavile Kodakove fotografske kamere. U radu je opisan i način kako je proizvodnja fotoaparata utjecala na razvoj turizma, nakon što su fotoaparati postali dostupni širokim masama. TakoĎer, opisan je način kako fotografije utječu na turistička očekivanja te uloga i nastanak razglednica, koje su danas postale najprodavaniji turistički suvenir. Turistička fotografija obuhvaća dvije kategorije: fotografije od strane turista i fotografije koje su dio promotivnih materijala za turizam. Tematski turističku fotografiju moţemo podijeliti na fotografije sa putovanja, pjezaţe, fotografije arhitekture, te fotografije prirode i divljeg svijeta, ambijentalne portrete i sportsku fotografiju. Fotografija mora zadovoljiti odreĎene elemente kao što su motiv, kompozicija, kvaliteta svjetla kako bi estetski bila pogodna za promotivne materijale turističkog odredišta. U praktičnom dijelu rada provedeno je istraţivanje anketom o turističkoj fotografiji, analizirani su autorski promotivni materijali za otok Cres i autorske fotografije.

Abstract (english)

Tourism nowdays is culturally, socially and materially constructed through photographs. Tourism is a social practice that is shaped through a photographic culture of cameras and images, also photography is essential in building of tourist visual nature od sightseeing and observations. The thesis describes a brief chornology of development of tourism from the begining to the present development of mass tourism in the world and also in Croatia. Some sociologists believe that tourism in the English coutryside grew dramatically, at the same time when Kodak cameras were emerged. The thesis also described how the production of cameras influenced the development of tourism, after cameras were made available to the majority of the population. It also describes how the images affect tourist expectations, role and the emergence of postcards, which have become the best- selling tourist souvenir. Tourist photography comprises two structures: photographs taken by tourists, and those that are part of the framework of tourism (promotional items). Talking about tourist photography, it includes travel photography, landscape, architectural photography, and also nature and wildlife photography, environmental portraits and sports photography. Tourist photography must suit certain elements such as motive, composition, quality of light for promotional materials of tourist destination. In the pracical part of the thesis is a research with a survey about tourist photography, analysis of promotional materials for island Cres and of original photographs.
