Abstract

Proširena stvarnost (eng. Augmented reality, skraćeno AR, u daljnjem tekstu AR) je izmijenjena ili nadograđena slika već postojeće stvarnosti. Kako bi AR nesmetano mogao biti dio kontinuuma između stvarnog i virtualnog, ono mora ispunjavati tri zahtjeva: kombinirati virtualne i stvarne objekte u stvarnom okruženju, interaktivno ih pokretati i u stvarnom vremenu ih registrirati. Dakle, AR bi trebao uskladiti virtualni sa stvarnim svijetom. Iako se sam pojam proširene stvarnosti pojavio kada i virtualna, koncept AR-a se počeo intenzivno primjenjivati tek zadnjih pola desetljeća. Područja proučavanja i primjena AR su vrlo široka, koristi se u vojne, medicinske i marketinške svrhe, u području robotike, prostornom planiranju, održavanju, CNC simulaciji te operativnoj obuci. Svojstvo intuitivnog korištenja AR-a omogućuje nesmetanu i jednostavnu upotrebu, što je prednost jer aplikacija koja ima implementiran AR se ne treba iznova učiti. Bivajući jedan od novih tehnoloških trendova koji koegzistira skupa s dizajnom, ovaj rad će se baviti primjenom i utjecajem AR-a uz pomoć aplikacije i tiskovnog medija na promatrače. Jedna od najčešćih metoda za takav oblik istraživanja ili samu primjenu je upotreba markera u stvarnom svijetu kojeg kamera prepoznaje. Upotrebom aplikacije koja koristi marker, pozicija markera snimljenog kamerom postaje pozicija na kojoj će se proširiti stvarnost dodavanjem unaprijed pripremljenog digitalnog sadržaja. Marker, nakon što se dizajnira i napravi, može se reproducirati u bilo kojem tiskovnom mediju koji sistematskom upotrebom skupa sa AR-om, postaje interaktivni medij.

Abstract (english)

Augmented reality is a modified or upgraded image of an already existing reality. In order for AR to be part of the continuum between the real and the virtual, it must meet three requirements: combine virtual and real objects in a real environment, run them interactively and register them in real time. Thus, AR should align the virtual with the real world. Although the very concept of augmented reality emerged when virtual, the concept of AR began to be applied intensively only in the last half decade. Areas of study and application of AR are very wide, used for military, medical and marketing purposes, in the field of robotics, spatial planning, maintenance, CNC simulation and operational training. The intuitive AR feature allows seamless and easy use, which is an advantage because an application that has AR implemented does not need to be re-learned. Being one of the new technological trends that coexists along with design, this paper will address the application and impact of AR through application and print media. One of the most common methods for such a form of research or the application itself is the use of realworld markers that the camera recognizes. Using an application that uses a marker, the position of the marker captured by the camera becomes the position at which reality will be expanded by adding pre-prepared digital content. The marker, once designed and made, can be reproduced in any print medium that, through systematic use in conjunction with AR, becomes an interactive medium.
