Abstract

Tema ovoga rada je izrada funkcionalnog prototipa za platformu namijenjenu za stolne igre
igranja uloga (eng. tabletop roleplaying games; TTRPG) primjenjujući pravila i logiku dizajn
sustava. Razrada ideje će se odvijati na pametnom interaktivnom stolu namijenjenom za više
istovremenih korisnika. Cilj je razvitak prve platforme za interaktivne ploče namijenjene
širokoj lepezi uporabe različitih sustava stolnih igara igranja uloga. Korisnici će, putem
prilagodljivog grafičkog korisničkog sučelja, imati pristup svim potrebnim komponentama
za igru. Unutar ovoga rada bit će provedeno istraživanje tržišta konkurenata te opisana igrača
platforma. Kroz teme će se obrađivati dizajniranje funkcionalnog interaktivnog sučelja koje
će korisnika moći provesti kroz igru ovakvog tipa te postaviti standarde za daljnji razvoj
stolnih interaktivnih igara na interaktivnim površinama. Dio rada će se baviti metodologijom
i filozofijom dizajniranja stolnih igara igranja uloge. Pozornost će biti usmjerena i na
testiranje vizualnih aspekata navedene platforme, kao i na usporedbu dizajn sustava s
konkurentnim aplikacijama. Praktični dio rada će sadržavati prikazani dizajn različitih
dijelova jedinstvene igrače platforme unutar nekoliko stadija razvoja.

Abstract (english)

The subject of this paper is the development of a functional prototype for a platform designed
for tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs), applying the rules and logic of system design.
The elaboration of the idea will take place on a smart interactive table intended for multiple
simultaneous users. The aim is to create the first platform for interactive boards intended for
broad usage, facilitating the play of various TTRPG systems. Users will have access to all
necessary game components through an adaptable graphical user interface. Within this paper,
a competitive market analysis will be conducted, along with a description of the platform's
user base. The discussion will focus on the design of a functional interactive interface that
guides users through this type of game, setting standards for further development of
interactive tabletop games on interactive surfaces. A portion of the work will delve into the
methodology and philosophy of designing tabletop role-playing games. Attention will also
be given to testing the visual aspects of the platform, as well as the design of the system and
its distinctions from rival applications. The practical segment of the paper will showcase the
designed components of the unique gaming platform across various developmental stages.
