Abstract

Solarne ćelije su jedan od najperspektivnijih rješenja za budućnost

proizvodnje električne energije iz obnovljivih izvora. Solarne ćelije koje su

senzibilizirane bojom (dye-sensitized solar cells) su obećavajuća alternativa za

Si solarne ćelije, s obzirom na njihovu nisku cijenu i jednostavnost proizvodnje.

PEDOT (poli(3,4-etilendioksitiopen)), kao vodljivi polimer, je privukao mnogo

pažnje za primjenu u takvim solarnim ćelijama. S obzirom na neadekvatna

fizikalno-kemijska svojstva, počinje se koristiti PEDOT:PSS; PEDOT polimer

kojem je dodan dopant/nečistoća PSS (poli(stirensulfonat)). Tim dopantom je

dobiveno svojstvo topljivosti u vodi, što uvelike olakšava njegovu buduću

primjenu. No, s time se i drastično smanjuje njegova električna vodljivost.

Iz tog razloga se pokušava primijeniti tehnika sekundarnog dopanta, kako

bi se povećala električna vodljivost konačne otopine. Kao najbolji sekundardni

dopanti su se pokazali etilen glikol i dimetilsulfatoksid, (EG i DMSO). Osim same

otopine, mijenjaju se i podloge na kojima se otiskuju vodljivi polimeri; PET folije,

staklo, a u zadnje vrijeme i celulozni substrati (nanoceluloza, razni papiri).

Korištenjem vodljivih polimera se omogućava tisak solarnih ćelija sa

visokom transparentnošću i velikom fleksibilnošću. Takve solarne ćelije mogu

imati primjenu u raznim okruženjima, što povećava njihovo svakodnevno

korištenje, kao i daljnji razvoj postojećih tehnologija.

Abstract (english)

Solar cells are one of the most perspective solutions for the future of

electricity production from renewable sources. Dye sensitized solar cells are

promising alternative for Si based solar cells, thanks to their low cost and

simplicity of manufacture. PEDOT, as a conductive polymer, has gained a lot of

attention as a material that can be used in such solar cells. Since it’s physical and

chemical properties weren’t suitable enough, PEDOT:PSS was started to be

used instead. As a result of added dopant (PSS), PEDOT:PSS is soluble in water,

which greatly facilitates it’s future application. As a downside, electrical

conductivity is drastically lowered.

It is one of the main reasons for the introduction of 2nd dopants, in order to

increase the electrical conductivity of the final solution. As the best secondary

dopants, ethylene glycol and DMSO were used. The substrates that the polymers

were printed on were also being changed; PET foils, glass, cellulose substrates

(nanocelulose, papers).

With the use of conductive polymers, it is possible to print solar cells with

high transparency and flexibility. Such solar cells can have usage in various

surroundings, which increases their everyday application, as well as further

development of existing technologies.
