| Abstract | Tema ovog završnog rada je ispitivanje općih i optički svojstava tiskovnih papira. Cilj
istraživanja je pružiti detaljan uvid u karakteristike i svojstva papira, prvenstveno
tiskovnih papira te zaključke temeljene na provedenim mjerenjima. Papir je jedan od
najraširenijih materijala današnjice. Kao osnovna sirovina za proizvodnju papira smatra
se drvo odnosno celuloza, te ostali vlaknasti materijali i stari papir. Nadalje, rad se bavi
podjelom tiskovnih papira prema krajnjoj namjeni te se oni dijele na pisaće, uredske,
tiskovne, ukrasne i specijalne papire. Glavna tema ovog završnog rada je istraživanje
općih i optičkih svojstava papira. Opća svojstva obuhvaćaju opis, mjerenje i analizu
gramature, debljine te prostorne mase i specifičnog volumena. Analizom gramature i
debljine ustanovljen je njihov međusobno proporcionalni odnos, dok su prostorna masa i
specifični volumen u obrnuto proporcionalnom odnosu. Optička svojstva uključuju
bjelinu, svjetlinu, žutost i opacitet. Analizom rezultata dobivenih provedenim mjerenjem
pokazuje se da udio žutog tona ponajviše ovisi o stupnju bjeline odnosno što je stupanj
bjeline veći to je udio žutog tona manji i obratno. Također, iz mjerenja proizlazi zaključak
da papiri s visokim stupnjem bjeline (iznad 100%) u svom sastavu sadrže optička bjelila.
Porastom bjeline ispitivanih uzorka uglavnom je bio vidljiv i veći stupanj svjetline, no
zbog različitih načina mjerenja ovih svojstava to nije uvijek slučaj. Ispitivanje svojstava
papira ima ključnu važnost u procesu proizvodnje, i u odabiru tiskovnih papira za
svakodnevne potrebe da bi se omogućio kvalitetan ispis tiskovnih proizvoda. |
| Abstract (english) | The topic of this final paper is the examination of general and optical properties of
printing papers. The aim of the research is to provide a detailed insight into the
characteristics and properties of paper, primarily printing papers, and draw conclusions
based on the conducted measurements. Paper is one of the most widely used materials
today. The primary raw material for paper production is considered to be wood or
cellulose, as well as other fibrous materials and recycled paper. Furthermore, the paper
discusses the classification of printing papers according to their end use, dividing them
into writing papers, office papers, printing papers, decorative papers, and specialty
papers. The main focus of this final paper is the investigation of the general and optical
properties of paper. General properties encompass the description, measurement, and
analysis of basis weight, thickness, bulk, and specific volume. The analysis of basis
weight and thickness revealed their proportional relationship, while bulk and specific
volume showed an inverse proportional relationship. Optical properties include
whiteness, brightness, yellowness, and opacity. Analysis of the results obtained from the
conducted measurements demonstrates that the presence of yellow hue mostly depends
on the degree of whiteness, where a higher degree of whiteness corresponds to a lower
proportion of yellow hue, and vice versa. Moreover, the measurements suggest that
papers with high degrees of whiteness (above 100%) contain optical brighteners. The
increase in whiteness of the tested samples generally resulted in a higher level of
brightness, although this is not always the case due to the different measurement methods
for these properties. The examination of paper properties is crucial in the production
process and in the selection of printing papers for everyday needs to ensure high-quality
printing of printed products. |
